The Glevum Way is a circular walk around the outskirts of the City of Gloucester, Originally devised in 1991 byMike Loach of Gloucestershire County Council. The walk was completed, waymarked and is monitored by the Ramblers, Gloucester Group. The route, a total of 24 miles has been divided into five sections so that publictransport can be used to reach the start of each section from the city centre and return to the centre ofGloucester. Please come and try a few walks with us and meet our current members. We do a range of short circular walks of up to 5 miles on weekdays and circular walks from 5 to 10 miles normally on a Sunday. Although we walk around Gloucester regularly, the county allows easy access to other good walks in theForest of Dean, the Malvern Hills, the Black Mountains, the Brecon Beacons and the neighbouringcounties of Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Monmouthshire. This provides uswith an almost unrivalled choice of excellent walking within easy driving distance. We do also haveoccasional walks farther afield.
